Happy Belated Thursday - One of the most rewarding parts of urban photography is finding something where you least expect. It's even more gratifying to find something you enjoy viewing in a place where people walk by all of the time without noticing. I took this image on a photo walk in my old neighborhood of Red Hook. At the time, I was captivated by urban scenes and was actively looking for subjects among the industrial buildings. With this image, I tried to focus on symmetry and shape more than the actual object. It's a conflict of shapes (rectangles and circles) more than a wheel. Enjoy your Thursday -
