The 365 - 7/28/17 - Day 5

This summer I finally got a chance to get back to Devil's Tower.  Climbers are not an uncommon site on the tower, but I usually try to a few shots of them regardless.  This particular pair of climbers didn't seem particularly interesting at first, but when I took a closer look while editing the images I saw immediately that there was a story here.  Pay particular attention to the climber in the lower part of the frame.

The 365 - 7/27/17 - Day 4

The early summer this year brought daily afternoon showers up in Spearfish Canyon.  I saw this image as an opportunity to highlight the raindrops on the flower petals in the yard.  I really liked how delicate this B&W came out.

The 365 - 7/26/17 - Day 3

I fell in love with this truck the moment I saw it out in the lawn.  As you walk around, the angles seem to hint at innumerable stories that this truck experienced.  I settled for this one today which seemed to reflect its current story, one of quiet loneliness.

The 365 - 7/25/17 - Day 2

For day 2 of this project, I wanted to showcase some of the storm clouds that ran through the neighborhood this week.  The colors were quite a show, but I really liked how this B&W showcased the drama in the sky.

The 365 - 7/24/17 - Day 1

Launching a 365 project has been on my mind for several years, and this summer I made a commitment to myself to follow through with this at least in part.  So beginning today,  I will be making an effort to post a daily blog image in addition to other periodic thoughts here.  To begin this project, I will admit to making some allowances for myself as each image will not necessarily be shot on that day, but my goal will be to try to embrace that philosophy throughout and definitely toward the end of this project.

Until then - I would like to begin my 365 project with something close to home - Toward 2018!
